One of the highlights of Kypie Farm is our Agritourism venture - Valais Wanders Sheep Trekking. This unique activity allows you to immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes of our farm while enjoying the company of our friendly Swiss Valais Blacknose sheep. Here’s what you can expect:
Guided Tours: Farmer lead, you will walk through the upper most part of the farm, sharing insights about the Valais breed and the beautiful surroundings.
Interactive Experience: Get up close and personal with our sheep, learn about their care, and what it takes to make them "sheep trekking ready!"
Family-Friendly: This activity is suitable for all ages, making it a perfect outing for families looking to connect with nature.
Dedicated Website: Interested in learning more? Head to our sheep trekking website at www.valaiswanders.co.uk to check it out! We are currently out of season and reopen in earlier April with tickets going live in the New Year!
Introducing ReFleeced
At Kypie Farm, we are committed to sustainability. Our ReFleeced project is a testament to this commitment. By utilizing the wool from our various flocks of sheep, we have created a product which offers a naturally versatile, nitrogen-rich solution for the environmentally conscious gardener and grower. Here are some key aspects of ReFleeced:
Sustainable Practices: Our wool is sourced from our own closed flocks and is therefore in line with our high welfare standards.
Regenerative: Grows naturally and shorn annually for the welfare of our flock, this regenerative fibre has so many uses. Our ReFleeced project concerntrates on the circular process of returning it to the soil and the benefits it brings.
Community Impact: By purchasing our products, you are supporting a local family farm and contributing to sustainable agriculture while reducing waste and improving soil quality.
Dedicated Website: Keen gardener or grower? Head over to our new website to learn more www.refleeced.co.uk. We will have stock available online soon so watch this space!
